I just now got my Omaha Performing Arts 07/08 season booklet!!!
If I only had the money, I would go to something every weekend!
I’m going to try and hit all of the Broadway shows: Spelling Bee, Phantom, Spamalot, Annie and Mamma Mia. I’m going to save up for two seats and Justice is really only interested in Spelling Bee, Annie, and maybe Phantom but I could use a second for the rest. Keep that in mind.
We went to The Lion King this year and it was unbelievable, incredibly fascinating, I don’t know what else to say! I’ve taken my daughter to the Nutcracker a few times, Stars on Ice….lucked out and got seats that were actually folding chairs on the ice! That was a truly memorable and once-in-a-lifetime experience for Justice and I….thanks Brenda! Justice still pulls out her program and talks about how John Zimmerman came over and shook her hand. My wish has always been to make it a regular thing, we just love the live shows.
Does anyone else want to recommend a show? It’s always good to have a sound review from someone you trust.
Hey, I was bored going through old emails and came across your website. Just happened to open it and the top story, talks about Stars on Ice. So I am thinking to myself, I was on folding chairs on the ice before those are great seats. 🙂
So how the heck are you? We have moved over by Wahoo, we should get together sometime and I will show you my new house.
Brenda
Hi Bren….hi Matt! I got the picture of your new home. I see 3 garage doors…is the dog driving now? 🙂 Yeah, we need to make a plan one of these nights. Justice is on the travelling team this year….you probably gathered, and June is looking pretty tight, but I can always find time for friends. Maybe you can catch a game with us…Jus could use more of a cheering section than just her drippy Mother. We’ve got a double header tonight in North Bend and play again in North Bend on the 12th and 13th….the games start at 6:30. Oooh maybe my birthday on the 28th…lunch might be an option if you can get away from work. We’ll have to set a time and just have a few beers in the evening. I’m in early today and probably should be making better use of my time. Talk later.
Robin,
Sorry I didn’t check back until now. SO the 28th is your Bday. And that is a Thursday does Justice play that night? Maybe we could do beers that night as I am off on Friday. Or we could get together on Friday.
Let me know
I will try to check back sooner.
Brenda
Thursday the 28th, meet you at Little Ricky’s at 5? Does that sound good? I’ve got to work on Friday morning but also Saturday and on Saturdays I’m up before 3 so Friday nights are usually out; Thursday is perfect.
I’ll bring the cake if you bring the candles……you know how I am about celebrating the event of my birth….if I don’t do it, no one will. And think of what the world would be like without me. Dismal for sure!
You are all welcome to join us!!!
Thursday, June 28th, Little Ricky’s at 5 p.m.
Hey how many packs of candles will I need now a days I forget how much older than I you are? 🙂
I will try for 5 to Little Ricky’s. But sometime beers at my new house so you can see it. We having a little gathering on the 4th, but as mayor of Morse you probably hosting your own July 4th 🙂
Brenda
Ha…ha…ha.
Mayor, that’s a good one! You’ve not only forgotten my age but also the level of bullshit I can shovel back onto to you.
I’m coming up on 39 this year….feeling 29 to be honest, I just can’t imagine me being that age… .doesn’t seem right or real. I’m not in denial or anything, I’m just not feelin’ it, you know? Which is good because there are some days when I feel 80! 🙂
This will make you laugh: Justice piped up from the back seat yesterday and asked me how old I was going to be because she wanted to point out that my birthday is two weeks away. So I told her.
Then she goes: “That’s great mom, you only have 61 years left before you’re 100!”
Little s__t.
I do believe I’ve spawned a smartass.
See you in a couple of weeks. If I’m headed to Wahoo I’ll call ya and stop in.
Hey Robin, we are actually in Nebraska and might be able to stop in to have a birthday drink with you on the 28th. I will be out of computer access by the 24th so shoot me an email so I can give you my cell #. We will be staying up in Snyder @ my mom’s.
Hey Shelly!!!!
That’s right, you’re back then! Perfect timing! Meet us there, I’ll email you as well.
Can’t wait to see you,
Hey all,
I’ve been somewhat disconnected over my busy, busy summer but I wanted to log on and let you all know that I got my season tickets for the Broadway Across America shows. The first of which will be
“The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” on September 29th…about a month away. With season tickets, I’m able to add on tickets so if anyone is interested in joining us, let me know and I’ll go online and order another ticket or two. The show is on Saturday night and begins at 8 at the Orpheum.
Has anyone out there heard a review or seen this show? I am a clean slate but still getting revved up to go!
