How do I register and what happens when I register?

Just type in your name and email and leave a comment at the end of the topic you wish to comment on. I (me….your friend Robin) then get an email prompting me to go to the website and approve you as a user.

Registering gives me your email address and makes it easier and quicker for you to log on, blog, and so on.

You need only register the one time and you are good to go. So……..go register.

I confess, I am a virgin blogger……how do I blog?

For this site, you scroll to the bottom of the site and this will show you all of the posts thus far. A post is a topic or issue that I write or anyone can write….I just have to give approval for it to be published…..and then anyone can comment on that topic or issue.

To comment on a post: go to that post and post your comment at the end of the last blog.  If you are registered a box will appear with your name on it and you can add your comment there, if you aren’t registered; you will be prompted to enter all of your information every time you blog. To me this is a pain in the butt….so it’s easier to just register. 🙂

Robin, I put my comment in there but I can’t see it……now what?

Once you comment, I receive an email that a new comment has been added. It’s a failsafe so there isn’t any porn or anything contaminating my pristine website, well at least I would get to see it first. Just kidding……maybe some porn would liven things up…if you feel porn is necessary to make your point…. I will, of course, consider it. 🙂

After you register the first time, your comments should appear right away. If not just hang in there until I log on.

Not to worry, I usually check my email every morning, so log on the following day and it should be there then. If you want to retrieve a comment….you know like if you shoot your mouth off and regret it….happens to me quite often actually……just send me an email and I will edit or delete or what ever you wish. I can make these changes even after it’s published.

How do I know who all is reading this?

Well….you don’t. I allow no paranoia to block my personal thoughts….I’m a bit of an exhibitionist though. However, if you really want to know who I’ve got registered etc., I suppose I can give you that if you email me and ask for it. You should know though; if you google “hubblesnest”….this site will come up and any other human being can log on and read.

Your email address and so forth never appears anywhere unless you put it in your comment so it’s safe in that respect. I am trying to get some participation from all sorts of friends and family so this website has been emailed out to all parts of the world, on the other hand, you all know me and because I choose my friends with careful consideration; you are all of higher-than-average moral character. Right?

My advice and rule of thumb about life in general…..not just blogging: If you don’t want your priest, minister, neighbor, best friend, boss, children, parents, or spouse to find out what you say or write…..you probably shouldn’t be saying it or writing it.

What if I am totally digging one of your blogger’s comments and I’d like to email them personally so we could get to know each other better?

That would be great!

Robin, I don’t have your email address, how am I supposed to email you?

Just write a comment on one of the posts and request it. If I know you…..I will email you a response and you can hook up with me.  Well…on line at least….not in the current sense of the term “hook up”.
