Loved this! I listened to the CDs more than once and the interviews are so timeless. Especially interesting are the political discussions, I’m amazed to be able to realize how quickly history repeats itself….during my life time even. I laughed and cried at some and I would love to lend this set out to anyone who wishes to borrow them. Wonderful for a commute or just entertainment at home. What a great loss this past year.
New, young, song-writer with an easy, catchy sort of style. Great music for lazy summer days. Probably wouldn’t be a fave with the guys, but I don’t let that sort of thing concern me. “Bubbly” my personal pick of the album.
I am a huge Polka groupie. There’s something about an accordion that does it for me, and it’s not just Polka. I recently tried a new CD and the band’s name is “Hot Club of Detroit” I bought it because I loved the name and it mentioned an accordian player in the description. I understand what that term “smokin’” means now.
Then there’s Taj Mahal, Dizzie Gillespie, all bluegrass in general but Béla Fleck specifically…love that banjo and his genre is self made with his bluegrass and fusion jazz…amazing!
Add The Wreckers to my short list…I’ve been getting into this new CD lately and like their style…just; “Stand Still Look Pretty.”
I’m enjoying this and I was never a fan in the past.
This is just a great album. Maybe Stevie’s best.
